TARA Annual Street Party 2025
West London Action for Children moved to Gertrude Street in 2010 and over the last 15 years we have become part of the local community, with many of our residential neighbours volunteering for the charity. This year’s annual Gertrude Street Party, organised by the Ten Acres Residents Association, was blessed with glorious sunny weather. An impressive array of amusements and food were on offer: a brilliant caricaturist, hog roast, coconut shy, live music and ice cream. This year the proceeds of the party raised via entry and a raffle raised a fantastic £3,600 which was very generously donated to WLAC’s therapeutic stay-and-play group, C.A.M.E.O. (Come And Meet Each Other).
Our parent-infant psychotherapist and group facilitator, Dr Yvonne Osafo spoke about the CAMEO group and how grateful our clients are for having a safe play space to help connect with their little ones, and with other parents at similar stages of their parenting journey.
A huge thank you to Richard West and TARA for their thoughtfulness and generosity in choosing to support our organisation, and who worked so hard to bring everything together. Your generosity will enable us to continue to support families living in Chelsea & Westminster and Hammersmith & Fulham.
